The Concrete Consultancy 2000 Ltd were commissioned in December 2021 to undertake a survey and testing of the external concrete elements to The Import Jetty, Flamingo Airport, Kralendijk, Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands. The structure is a suspended concrete jetty and dolphins carrying a pipeline for the delivery of fuel, supported on circular steel piles driven into the sea bed the structure is formed as a T shape and is thought to be approximately 40 years old.
The works included a full visual and hammer rap survey, covermeter measurements, half-cell potential survey and chloride analysis of concrete samples. The report included a full material specification and bill of quantities for repairs.
