The Concrete Consultancy 2000 Ltd were commissioned in June 2021 to undertake a condition survey of the external concrete surfaces to the chimneys at Battersea, Power Station, Nine Elms, London, SW8 5BN. Decommissioned in 1975 the whole structure was given Grade II listed status in 1980. The structure includes four iconic chimneys located at each corner; namely, North East Wash Tower, North West Wash Tower, South East Wash Tower, South West Wash Tower.
The towers were dismantled in 2014 and were rebuilt using similar techniques. Following a full visual, hammer rap and covermeter survey using roped access technology, a full report and bill of quantities for repairs was provided.
